Little Book of Meteorology

On February 11, at 7 p.m. at the La Casa del Llibre bookstore (Passeig de Gràcia, 62), the presentation of the popular meteorology book “El petit llibre de la meteorologia”, by Jordi Mazon and Marcel Costa, published by Amat Editorial, will be held. The presentation will be given by the director of the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, Sarai Saroca, the delegate of Aemet in Catalonia, Ramon Pascual, and the two authors.
The book is a popular science book, at a level between high school and university. It consists of 5 parts. The first is dedicated to the history of meteorology, from the ancient world and the age of the gods, to the current era where AI has entered meteorological analysis and forecasting. The second and third parts are devoted to the atmosphere and its study, respectively. Clouds and meteorological phenomena are discussed in the fourth part. The fifth part is dedicated to climate and the physical causes of climate change.
