Student Baoying Wang awarded with the Extraordinary Doctoral Award 2025

Dr. Baoying Wang was awarded with the Extraordinary Doctoral Award 2025, corresponding to the 2022-2023 promotion, in the field of Sciences. with the title: 'Transitional Coherent Structures in Shear and Centrifugally Driven Flows'. The thesis attempts to understand the mechanisms that give rise to turbulence from laminarity, and was supervised by professors Fernando Mellibovsky and Àlvar Meseguer, both from the Department of Physics. The thesis was carried out within the Doctoral Program: Computational and Applied Physics.
