The PhyTracer Project participates in the GIREP-MPTL 2026 congress and the preceding doctoral school

From July 6 to 10, this year's edition of the international congress GIREP-MPTL (Groupe International de Recherche sur l'Enseignement de la Physique - Multimedia in Physics Teaching and Learning) was held in Rethymno (Crete, Greece), an annual event that brings together the research community and specialists in the field of Physics Education Research (PER), mostly in the university field.

In addition, in the previous days (from July 3 to 5), the congress was preceded by the GIREP PhD Summer School, focused on creating an atmosphere of community and communication between doctoral students and expert staff in the field of PER.

Within the framework of the PhyTracer project, Claudia Grossi, as a tutor, and Marina Ristol Roura, as a doctoral student linked to the project, participated in both activities. This allowed them to share the research being developed on the identification of conceptual difficulties regarding the identification of forces and Newton's First Law in first-year engineering students.

The experience was highly enriching for the project: it allowed them to validate lines of research with references in the field, establish contacts and collaboration networks that were fundamental for its development, and receive very valuable feedback to continue promoting the work.
